In this social colored pencil/crayon and paper art class, students will learn how to draw using weekly themes and socialize with their peers. This class is great for all beginning to advance artists because it naturally discusses shape, form, line, color, and shading. The teacher will introduce and demonstrate these terms. She will lead the students through the use of these art elements to create their finished drawing. The class will also help students learn how to use shapes to build the drawing and clean it up for a great final drawing. Week of 1/10: I Sea Some Landscapes! Let's Draw a Beach! Week of 1/17 Rawr! Let's Draw a Monster! Week of 1/24: Fin-tastic! Let's Draw a Fish! Week of 1/31: You're Outta This World! Let's Draw Outer Space! Week of 2/7: Just Planting Some Seeds! Let's Draw Houseplants! Week of 2/14: The Writing On the Wall! Calligraphy Workshop! Week of 2/21: It's Time We Mer-Made some Mythical Creatures! Let's Draw Mermaids and Dragons! Week of 2/28: Have Some Self-Reflection! Let's Draw Self-Portraits!
