This is a Minecraft Social Club that meets once a week. Minecraft fans will be able to meet weekly to socialize with others who also love playing Minecraft. Members in this club can be new players to Minecraft or veteran players. Also, members in this club can have ANY version of the Minecraft game and play it on ANY device. Club members CAN play Minecraft during meetings and share their screen on Zoom to show their current activities! This is also a club where children can socialize and...

Minecraft Social Club Objectives: 1. Members can share Minecraft items found in their homes. 2. Members can share Minecraft creations they have built in the video game prior to class (on ANY version of Minecraft). 3. Members can share Minecraft prior experiences in the game. 4. Members can ask questions they may have about the game to get assistance/advice. 5. Members can play Minecraft (or other appropriate games) during meetings and share their current activities to fellow club members. 6. Members will compete in a Minecraft facts trivia game using Kahoot at the end of each meeting.
There is NO required homework for this club. Club members are encouraged to build or find something after class to show at the next meeting.
Club members will need to bring the following to meetings: 1. Something to share (this is optional but encouraged) 2. A second device to use Kahoot (phone, tablet, open two windows on the computer screen to be visible at the same time) 3. A smile and a good attitude : )
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
PARENTIAL ASSISTANCE may be needed to set your child up to use the Kahoot program at the end of each meeting.
