Description
Class Experience
Students will have a diverse education in topics relating to LGBTQ+ issues, gain confidence and acceptance in their identity, learn how to navigate social situations, tools to cope with family and friends and will feel safe to discuss everyday life topics with the group.
As a gay woman, I feel it so deeply important to give back some of the support and guidance I received in my coming of age. I know the isolation and fear that figuring out your identity can bring and having a safe space to work through these times can change the course of how they cope with these challenges. I want to provide a community where the youth know they are not alone and can share woes, challenges, celebrations and more.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
