Class Experience

Welcome to the Social & Communication Skills Club!
In this class students will meet for 30 minutes weekly to socialize, play games, engage in activities and have fun conversations with each other.

Each week we will have a question of the day, show and share, play a game and end with a hands-on activity. We will practice some common classroom routines such as: listening when others are talking, waiting our turn, being respectful, responding to others and sharing social greetings with each other when we enter and exit the classroom. If you make a mistake; don’t worry. We are all learning. This class is all about providing practice time and fun/memorable experiences with each other in a positive fashion. All students will have multiple opportunities to participate each week.

Hello Everyone!!

My name is Miss Colene and I am so excited to meet you all! ! I enjoy teaching, watching leaners grow, have fun and create!
I am an Early Childhood Educator with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Exceptional Education. Most of my experience comes from within the public school setting, teaching since 2007. I am currently teaching and tutoring remotely and have been for the past 3 years. I enjoy teaching remotely and find the most growth when working with a smaller group of children.

I absolutely enjoy teaching and I understand that our youngest learners learn best through play. I try to provide as many play-based, hands-on, sensory style learning activities as I possibly can to provide the "school atmosphere" that one would receive in person.

I have been a teacher for quite some time and I am also a mother to an awesome soon to be 5 year old son. Time has flown by and I feel as if I missed a great deal of quality time with him throughout the changes in the world and with work. I am now redirecting my focus to my family while still engaging in my passion of teaching remotely.
I have a wide variety of classes to offer. Please take a look at my class offerings below. If you don't see a time that works for you please feel free to message me and I will create a new section for you.
