US Grade 6
This class is designed to help students learn all of the necessary 6th grade skills and be prepared for 7th grade. Dates: August 2024 - May 2025 End dates are estimated. * There is no definite end date, because I would like to progress through the material in a more organic way, so that students will not be moved through lessons too quickly. HOLIDAY BREAKS: NO CLASS: October 31 US Thanksgiving: November 24 - 30 Winter Break: December 22 - January 4 - Class resumes on January 6.. Spring Break: March 17-21 This class is taught using teacher created PowerPoint presentations. For each new skill, the teacher will provide notes to students for them to print or copy into a math notebook. These notes will be used in class and as a learning tool. The teacher will also provide videos to support learning in addition to what we learn in the classroom. These videos serve to support students in refreshing background knowledge necessary for new skills as well as solidifying new skills.
