US Grade 2 - 4
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Reading comprehension is made up of a combination of skills and strategies. This course will help students to practice those skills and become stronger readers. Whether your student is trying to get ahead or needs some extra practice, this is the perfect course. We will use a variety of texts, interactive activities, and learning games to help students learn and practice these skills. After each session, students will be sent some extra practice that they can do on their own to help reinforce the skills they have learned that week. These assignments will not be graded, however it is recommended that students complete them to help strengthen their skills as readers. My goal is to help students reach their full potential as readers. Through interacting with peers, group discussions, and teacher led instruction, I hope to engage students in a fun and exciting learning opportunity to help them soar into success. I will meet all students at their level and help them to learn in a way that is challenging but not frustrating. All students deserve that chance to reach success. Please make sure your student is on time for each session and is in a place where their microphone and video can be turned on to allow for full participation. I am so excited to begin this learning journey with you all as we soar into reading comprehension.
