So You Want To Write A Novel - Writing Club for Young Authors

The next bestseller could be YOURS!

Each week, we will gather together and support each other as we write our novels. Each writer will have the opportunity to share a little bit about what they're writing, and encourage those who share with helpful comments.

We will start each session with a short writing exercise, called a J5M (Just 5 Minutes) giving each writer the opportunity to create something new!

Once we have read out our J5M piece, each writer will share a little bit about their novel, should they choose, and discuss the progress or problems we might be having - perhaps you're stuck in the plot and don't know how to move it forward, or maybe you need a character to do something but you can't quite find the words.

After sharing our progress with our own work, we will be set a writing challenge for the week, which we can share the following week if we completed it. This is always optional, and if you weren't here the week before, you can always listen to how others got on, and try it yourself the next week!

We will then share our progress from the previous week's challenge, if there's time.

This is the perfect place to get writing, whether you're just starting out with a novel, or you're right in the middle of one. Getting support, encouragement, ideas, and inspiration to kick writer's block out, is so important when writing a novel.

Since the content of each class is based on each writer's work, there is no set topic, which means you can come and go as often as you need.
