Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the pathway to writing an entire story, including engaging intros, plot development, character development, the need for characters to have life-changing events in their lives, and how to close the story.
I am a four-time published author of five-star-rated suspense novels. I'm currently working on a World War 2 novel. Also, I'm an avid reader of various kinds of fiction, including epic fantasy, geo-political thrillers, coming-of-age stories, faith-based, biography-based, contemporary & historical, literary fiction, young-adult (YA), and science fiction.
Homework will be assigned for each student to complete individually. Some may take several minutes to complete, but will not be time-intensive unless your student becomes engaged in writing between classes. Most will involve simply jotting down ideas and thoughts based on the previous lesson.
None are required. However, if a student would like to have a copy of a favorite book that was an inspiration to begin the writing journey, that will be welcomed. A pen and paper are also recommended.
There will be no assessments, except maybe words of encouragement or tips on how to keep moving forward with their writing.
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
