Whether following in the footsteps of Dickens with his timeless Christmas ghost story, creating a warm and fun tale or a seasonal mystery, here's no doubt that there is a wide scope for a festive story. What makes a tale a 'Christmas story' rather than just a short story? In this class, learners will talk about what defines a Christmas story and how to give their short story a seasonal feel. Learners will explore how to plan out a story and use descriptive writing effectively, as well as technical aspects such as punctuation and sentence length. Whether writing about Santa and his adventures, a spooky Christmas ghost story, a tale of toys coming to life, or a family's escapades in the holiday season, learners can enjoy making it as Christmassy as possible.
