Welcome to Dairy Farming 101 - taught by a multi-generation dairy farmer. 

In this course we will learn about all things Cows and Dairy Farming. You will learn the ins and outs of what it takes to run a dairy farm, and the process of getting your dairy foods from “Udder to Table”. 

We will cover:
+ Health & Hygiene 
+ The Milking Process
+ Milking and Agricultural Equipment 
+ and more!

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to understand where the food comes from, home farmers care for their animals, and all the work that comes before your delicious glass of milk or slice of cheddar cheese.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Keep in mind, dairy farming is a Dirty Job. There will be photos of cow manure, and we will briefly cover the concept that Dairy Cattle must be bred in order to continue to produce milk. This will not be discussed in depth, but as a matter of fact.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
