You'll learn about the roles and responsibilities of doctors across various specialties, the path to medical school including what you need to study and prepare for, and how doctors diagnose, treat, and care for patients. Additionally, we’ll explore key medical specialties, highlighting what makes each one unique and exciting.

We’ll cover a variety of topics, starting with an inside look at the day-to-day duties of different types of doctors, from family medicine to surgery. You'll learn the basics of getting into medical school, including prerequisites, the MCAT, and clinical rotations. We’ll explore different medical specialties such as emergency medicine, pediatrics, and cardiology, while also discussing the personal skills and traits that doctors need to succeed. Finally, we’ll examine how doctors fit into the broader healthcare system and contribute to both patient care and medical research.

This course is structured as a lesson that combines lecture content with engaging activities. A short, clear presentation using slides will introduce key concepts in each topic. To keep things fun, we’ll incorporate quizzes to assess your knowledge and understanding. The session will also include reflection questions where you can explore your thoughts about medicine and healthcare. To keep the energy up, we'll have fun, quick games and brain breaks to help you stay engaged. The course also includes a fun worksheet as well as a Med School Checklist.

My teaching style is dynamic, engaging, and interactive. I believe learning should be fun, so I incorporate a mix of visual aids, storytelling, and quiz activities to make the material come alive.
