Description
Class Experience
Students will increase their knowledge of different cat breeds and interesting cat related facts.
Working with animals has always been an important part of my life. I worked as a volunteer for many years at a Long Island cat shelter fostering litters of homeless kittens, treating their illnesses and handling paperwork for new adoptions. I treated many of the sick and injured cats at the shelter. I have owned my own cats for many years as well as several dogs and horses. I am the owner of a small horse farm on the eastern end of Long Island and an adjunct professor in Equine Studies at Post University.
No homework will be assigned for this class.
Learners should have paper and pen handy for note taking and score keeping.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will follow along with a Google Slides presentation that I will share with them on my screen. It will display all the trivia questions and cat images they will need to view as we proceed through the game. Some short YOU TUBE video clips of cat behaviors will be played at specific moments of the trivia game.
