Description
Class Experience
I have a B.A. in Literature (and credential to teach high school English) and have taught many English classes as part of the faculty at a community college. I am also a huge theater nerd and have been to hundreds of plays both on and off Broadway.
Students will need to accrue each play. All of them are available in inexpensive acting editions and many are available digitally. I will list the plays we will be reading well in advance, so you can order them in batches if you would like.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Many of the plays we will read will have adult themes. Many contemporary plays wrestler with things like race, gender and class. Some may involve sexual situations and other adult themes. I will try to avoid anything gratuitous. To read a synopsis of each play we will read go to: https://stageagent.com and search by title.
