In this one-time class, students will play drama games that encourage creativity and teamwork in a cooperative environment. Drama games are essential to acting, because each activity is more than just fun (and they ARE fun). This includes games that encourage physical movement (adjusted to each student's capabilities), working together, quick thinking, storytelling, and improvisation skills. Kinds of activities: Name games where we get to know each other Movement games Warm-up games for our brain Storytelling games (when you create a story, you are a writer!) Improv games At the beginning of all my classes, and throughout, students are assured that we are in a space where they are safe to create, to play, to imagine, to do silly voices, and explore their creativity with the support and encouragement of me and their classmates. Activities are adjusted for students of all learning and physical capabilities.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a veteran theater professional of 30 years, with most of my experience in theater for young audiences. I am a teaching artist, actor, singer, director, playwright and administrator, and I have my own theater company, "Building Better People Productions". We do shows and classes based in themes of kindness and understanding. That leads into my philosophy about teaching: people want to learn when they are treated well and feel valued. I have taught successfully in-person and online.
