Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about wax resistance while practicing watercolor painting and singing holiday carols. Art elements such as contrasting colors, background, foreground, wisp, blot, and warm/cool color palates will be discussed.
none
two sheets light or dark blue construction paper
one set watercolor paints (dollar store)
one set basic 8-12 count crayons (dollar store)
pencil
newspaper (for large placemat area under painting)
cup of water
paper towels
Informal assessment during class will be used as students show their work and respond in questions, comment, and songs.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Holiday singing will be secular, non-religious songs, such as "Frosty the Snowman," "Let it Snow," "Winter Wonderland, " "Sleigh Ride," and "Jingle Bells."
