Class Experience

In this one-time course, students will be drawing a snowman. They will be given step-by-step directions on how to draw the snowman. After they finish their drawing, students will complete a writing activity. Students will share their drawing and writing with the class. Below is a breakdown of our class:

Drawing:
The students will be given step-by-step directions for drawing each part of a snowman. After each step, the students will be given time to draw the step. They will draw a snowman with a hat and a scarf. The students will be coloring the hat, scarf, and background. 

Writing Activity: 
The students will be writing about a snowman. The students will be given sentence stems to help with their writing. They may choose to use the sentence stems or they may create their own sentences. 

Sharing:
At the end of class, the students will share their drawing and writing with the class.

Supply List
Students will need the following materials:
- Class handout (This will be posted in our classroom before class begins.)
- White piece of paper (8 1/2 in. x 11 in.)
- Crayons or Markers
- Pencil
- Black Sharpie or Marker
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
