Perfect for the beginner painter! Learn how to paint a snowman admiring new snowflakes. Teacher will paint along and show every step!
By the end of the class, you should have your own magical holiday masterpiece!
Colors we will definitely need: black, white, orange, blue, red. Having more colors on hand is great!
We will start with a simple pencil sketch. Please make sure that you have a pencil.
After we learn how to draw a snowman we will add a hat.
We will start painting with covering the background with blue acrylic paint.
We will paint snowman with white.
We will add red hat, orange carrot nose and black branches for hands.
We will learn how to mix the colors to add some shading.
We will finish by adding beautiful detailed snowflakes. ❄
When they are finished, little artists will have an opportunity to show their masterpiece to others!
**Depending on the number of students and their skill level, this class might end a few minutes early or run 5-20 minutes extra.**Other Details
Supply List
-Pencil and Eraser -Cup for water -canvas, canvas board or mixed media paper. (Please keep in mind your little artist's abilities. Younger kids might have a difficult time covering a large surface.) -Acrylic paints: white, black, red, blue, orange. This is a minimum) -A palette - any dish we could use for mixing colors (I often use a paper plate or a plastic lid) Keep in mind, acrylics could be permanent, so no fine dishes. ;) -Paper towel or a piece of cloth for cleaning brushes -Various brushes. We will need at least one small (pointy) brush, one medium brush and one large brush, but more brushes are nice to have.
