Student will use wax resist in a combination with watercolor paint to create these winter images. We will learn how to give value to snow and draw snow flakes with line a shapes. Snowman drawings will be built with shape knowledge and review. Students will have the ability to create will having open discussion and questions throughout our time together. Basic idea of shape and line is encourage but will be discussed and reviewed during the section. We will listen to quiet background holiday themed music to encourage creativity.

Watercolor paint, paper, oil pastel preferred but crayon is also acceptable, water, brush, paper towel

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a certified K-12 Art teacher with a BFA in Illustration and Art Education from The College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. I also have my MA in Art Education from Wayne State University. I have been teaching art for 9 years and am currently an art teacher at a K-8 private school. My art lessons are focused on creative expression and skill development. Most classes are designed for K-8th grades. I truly enjoy sharing my love of art with others and inspiring them to use their creativity. I am also a mom of a 3 year old and 1 year old and have a Golden Doodle named Rue.
