Wild Animal Science: The Snow Leopard (Ages 8-10)

In this popular animal science class, students will learn about Snow Leopards. We will learn facts and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of Snow Leopards. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates that will help...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Snow Leopards, such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the Snow Leopard. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Snow Leopards is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of Snow Leopards and their Asian habitat.
