As an educator for 14 years, I know that one of the most fun parts of school is CREATING learning exeriences for children. These simple recipes will help your child LISTEN and HAVE FUN in an engaging and accepting classroom atmosphere. I love creating connections with my learners and their families so that they will feel welcome to be "themselves" in our classroom. My online teaching experience spans over the past 3 years where I have taught 1000s of students and lessons. I have taught over 100 classes on Outschool, with over 600 learners, and over 200 "5 star reviews" and counting! I love seeing my "online students" return to my classes!
Cinnamon Sugar Snowflakes Ingredients: tortillas, melted butter, cinnamon, sugar Materials: baking sheet, parchment paper or cooking spray, brush baster/spoon, oven mitts, small bowl, teaspoon measuring spoon Snowball punch: Ingredients: blue colored drink (Kool Aid-Hawaiian punch), pineapple juice, fizzy drink (Sprite, Ginger Ale, etc), ice cream, whipped cream/sprinkles (optional) Materials: large cup, spoon, liquid measuring cup Fake Snow: Ingredients: Baking Soda, white hair conditioner Materials: large bowl, measuring cups, spoon, large tray or cookie sheet
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may need to be close by to help with operating kitchen appliances, like the microwave or oven. Please be aware of potential kitchen hazards. We will use the microwave to heat our ingredients and the oven to make them crisp. Please be sure to have oven mitts or a towel ready to help take the snowflakes out of the oven. Possible allergens in the ingredients--dairy, sugar, cinnamon **Please discuss with the instructor if you have questions about possible substitutions
