In this lesson your child will learn general information on what snakes typically eat, where they live, and why they are so important! We will go into detail on snake predators (what eats snakes) and snake prey (what snakes eat). I will focus on engaging with your child, asking questions and giving them time to speak. There will be lots of fun facts! Then we will take the second half of the class to draw a snake! I will show step by step directions and make it simple enough for these young learners.

Your child will need to bring a few items to class: paper, pencil and eraser, colored pencils

This teaching opportunity will give me the chance to share my passion for nature and why science is so much fun! I enjoy teaching children about animals and bugs. It's what I loved when I was a kid and my children have a growing love for learning the world around them. A fun little fact about me, I have twin boys and a little girl who I am homeschooling for the second year now. My kids are my driving force to teach and the reason why I continue to learn more everyday.
I have a Bachelors Degree of Science and have 5 years of field work experience under my belt. Once I had my twin boys in 2016 I decided I wanted to stay home to raise my children. So I started teaching online in 2017 as an ESL teacher (teaching English to children in China).
I am eager to share my knowledge about nature and the beautiful world outside our doors! As a teacher, I believe all students deserve to feel valued and respected in class. I am committed to making sure the students are having fun as they learn about the world around us!
