Description

Class Experience

In this one-time course, students will look at pictures of constellations, learn the names of the constellations, and have a chance to make some constellations with pretzel sticks and marshmallows. There will be a printable available with constellations students will make during the interactive activity. The 30-minute class will have the following:

-Greeting and question of the day
-What is a constellation?
-Pictures and names of constellations
-Interactive activity with pretzels and...

Students will learn what a constellation is and learn the names of a few constellations. They will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity by making their own constellations with pretzel sticks and marshmallows. This will also enhance fine motor skills and creativity.

-Printable with constellation cards
-Miniature marshmallows (white or colored)
-Small pretzel sticks

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
