We will learn new songs to familiar tunes about Santa, Rudolph and Santa’s elves. This class will be hands-on and engaging. We will begin with a hello song to welcome everyone by name and from there the class will keep moving from songs, to fingerplays to learning about Santa’s workshop and reindeer flying through the air, all the while learning to keep a beat. My teaching style is enthusiastic, kind and interactive. No previous music experience needed for this class! You will need a couple of things from your kitchen cupboard. Please see supply list.
Learning Goals
They will learn some fun easy songs about Santa, Rudolph and Santa’s workshop. They will learn about keeping a beat and how to keep a fast and a slow beat, while singing a song or saying a speech pattern.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music from Greenville University
Hello prospective parents and guardians! My name is Mrs. Carol. I live in Canada.
I have my B.A. in music specifically Vocal, as well as ORFF (rhythmic based method of teaching music) training. I have been teaching music for 25+ years. I have created and taught an early years music program in Montessori schools. I have taught voice, piano, early childhood music in my own studio, as well as teaching for several summers at a symphony music camp teaching the ORFF method.
Studies have shown that engaging in music classes from a young age can make you smarter in reading and math! Early years music classes can set you up to learn an instrument, but even more than that it can set you up for a life long love and appreciation for music.
Through singing, simple instruments (don’t worry, your kitchen cupboard has all you need for class) and movement, your child will learn skills such as listening, focusing, taking turns and all the while having a whole lot of “hands-on” fun making music.
My classes will be engaging, inclusive and will aim to ignite the JOY of music-making. I will be using the curriculum Smarty Pants Music that I created after teaching young children for many years.
My husband, who is also musical, and I have been married for 34 years. We have a daughter and son-in-law and I am a proud “Mammie” to 2 exceptional, beautiful grandchildren, Amos and Anna.
I hope to see your child in my classes so that we can Ignite Joy, Get Smarter and Make Music together!
