Hello! It is time to learn about money in this one-time class for 5-8 year olds! In this class, we will go over the basics of coins. We will discuss the names of each coin, features of each coin, we will also examine each coin and discuss what we observe about each one. We will talk about how much each coin is worth and we will begin counting by ones, fives, tens, and twenty-fives to count change. Students will be able to identify pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, tell the value of each coin, and be able to count by ones and fives to count pennies and nickels.
1 file available upon enrollmentIt would be helpful upon enrollment that students are familiar with how to count by fives and tens. Please print the handouts for use in class. Please also have students bring a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter to class. Thank you!
