Welcome Families – Are you looking for an interactive engaging course for your 4–7-year-old? If so, then you have found it! This course is all about preschool, pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade story & craft fun! Keep reading for more details. Whether you are looking to supplement an in-person program or looking to add to your homeschool curriculum, then do not hesitate to join today. A certified experienced early childhood teacher will guide and develop critical early learning skills to best prepare your learner for their lifelong journey in learning. This ongoing class will run year-round to ensure your learner develops a love for engaging stories while use creative talents to create fun crafts. Learners can join class with a weekly subscription at any time and can remain enrolled all year to ensure key literacy skills are achieved and/or maintained. Learners will develop and enhance fundamental early learning skills through a themed hands-on approach to learning. We will focus on literacy and the arts. Skills & Concepts Included: Enjoyment of fun stories Author & illustrator Early literacy concepts such as characters, problem, and solution. Concept of beginning, middle, and end of story. Use knowledge and knowledge gained prior to reading, during reading, and after reading story. Demonstrate artistic skills to create fun crafts. Develop / enhance fine motor skills to create fun crafts. (Use your looking eyes ~Follow directions (Use your listening ears) ~Be respectful to everyone in class. (Use kind words) ~Be patient (wait patiently while others are talking) ~Have fun! Class Notes: ~Class duration is 25 minutes Class Polices: ~I will log into the classroom a few minutes before the start of class. Learners will be moved from the waiting room into the class at the scheduled start time. If no learners are present, I will log out of the classroom after waiting for ten minutes. ~Each class session will begin at the scheduled time even if learners are not present. ~Parent/Caregivers are encouraged to be nearby off camera (to the side of the screen/camera) to assist your learner with technical operations of the live session (sign-in, making sure camera is turned on, muting/unmuting if needed, and sign-off at the end) ~Due to the number of learners and their pace moving through the planned activities, it is possible that we may end a few minutes early. ~I will follow the refund policy outlined on the Outschool website. Supply List
Materials needed for the craft project will be posted in the classroom prior to the start of class. Materials will generally include items that are typically found around the house: paper plates, crayons/markers, glue stick, paint, construction paper. NOTE: An adult may need to prep an item or two prior to the start of class (cutting out a needed item for a project). Then your learner will only need to assemble the pieces during class.
