Whether you are looking to supplement an in-person program or looking to add to your homeschool curriculum, then do not hesitate to join today. A certified experienced early childhood teacher will guide and develop critical early learning skills to best prepare your learner for kindergarten. This class is also great for current kindergarten learners in need of additional support in achieving kindergarten skills and learning goals. Learners may join class with a weekly subscription at any time. Each week is independent and does not build upon previous weeks. Each session learners will develop and enhance fundamental early learning skills through a themed hands-on approach to learning. We will focus on literacy and math skills daily. We will also explore social studies, science, and the arts. We will enjoy many great stories and utilize music & dancing breaks in between learning activities to get the wiggles out before moving onto the next learning activity. During class we will use interactive slides, videos, and hands on materials to complete the hands-on learning activities. Please have a dry erase board & marker available for your learner for these activities. Paper and pencil/markers work too:) I also suggest having Play Doh available too as we often times need Play Doh for forming alphabet letters or counting activities. Class Polices: ~I will post information about any materials needed for class at the beginning of each week. Please check the classroom prior to each new week of learning to see what materials will be needed for class. This will give you time to prepare any recommended items to help enhance your learners class experience. (For example, Show and Tell item, letter of the week item, art supplies for project, etc) If you learner does not have the materials, that is okay as they can just watch and still learn from the demonstrations. ~I will log into the classroom a few minutes before the start of class. Learners will be moved from the waiting room into the class at the scheduled start time. If no learners are present, I will log out of the classroom after waiting for ten minutes. ~Each class session will begin at the scheduled time even if learners are not present. ~Parent/Caregivers are encouraged to be nearby off camera (to the side of the screen/camera as this is an Outschool policy.) to assist your learner with technical operations of the live session (sign-in, making sure camera is turned on, muting/unmuting if needed, and sign-off at the end) I usually do not mute learners, however, if there is a feedback noise or noise in the background such as a tv or someone talking on a phone then I will use the mute feature so that all can hear throughout the class. ~Due to the number of learners and their pace moving through the planned activities, it is possible that we may end a few minutes early or go over by a few minutes. ~I will follow the refund policy outlined on the Outschool website. I look forward to working with you and your child. I thank you for the opportunity to teach your learner.
