Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the following: - how to hold the instrument - how to tune - correct hand position - reading chords and (eventually) learning to read music - different strumming patterns - how to count and recognize different notes - how to play the first four primary chords - how to switch between new chords - learning simple songs -having fun with music!
Homework will include practicing the new concepts we learn in class and songs. Students can show off what they practiced if they are comfortable.
All students will need their own soprano ukulele (acoustic or electric) and a pick of any kind (can use thumb or fingers for strumming as well). A tuner will be needed (this can be a physical external tuner, an internal tuner in an electric ukulele or an app).
As a music instructor and music school owner I have always made sure that the parents of my students are up-to-date on what their child is doing in class. An assessment at the end of the four classes can be requested by parents. Emails and messages are always welcome!
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
For young students that need help parents are encouraged to be close by to help with hand positions.
I will be using slides from different music instruction books, I will send in messages after class to students so they can review and practice.
