Let's Read Together! In this small group reading class, students read round-robin style with a certified teacher working on fluency, phonics, sight words spelling, and writing.
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this class, students will read together to work on sight words, phonics, spelling, and writing. During class, we read a book (It will be provided to them on the screen during class and then after class, they will receive a copy of the book to practice) round-robin style. As each student reads we will assist students with phonics, sight words, and fluency. We will also engage students in specific reading comprehension skills such as pre-reading skills, character analysis, sequencing,...
Students will learn new sight words and vocabulary Students will engage in comprehension skills Students will learn the terms author and illustrator Students will learn how to use context clues to figure out unfamiliar words Students will learn pre-reading skills Students will practice reading and fluency skills
Homework Offered
Students are encouraged to reread the books independently or with a parent after class to build their sight words and confidence in reading as well as practice the sight words learned in class.Assessments Offered
