In this small group class, students will practice and improve gymnastics skills of their choice. This class is targeted for families who would like siblings to take a more individulized class. Learners will have one-on-one practice working on gymnastics skills. We are available to work on floor skills (rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and more advanced tumbling if the student has a strong foundation), beam skills, bar skills, and trampoline skills. Please have your learner warm up and stretch before class. If you need help with what to warm up or stretch, we can cover what to do in our first class and a video will be provided with warmups and stretches. I am happy to suggest any equipment needs you may have for our classes as well. This class is learner-directed. In our first lesson, the teacher will evaluate the learner and create a lesson plan that aligns with the learner's goals. Please practice gymnastics in a safe space with no obstacles in the way. (coffee tables, breakable valuables, etc.) Please provide the appropriate equipment for what skills we are practicing. For the floor, please have a soft spot like a yoga mat or gymnastics mat. For the beam, please provide a floor beam or a beam off of the ground. Please provide a sturdy bar with a gymnastics mat under it to practice bars. For the trampoline, please provide a trampoline and a place to put the learner's device on. While safety is our number one priority at Coach Kaz Gymnastics, we can never rule out the risk of injury while practicing gymnastics.
