Small Group ELA Tutoring
In this 8-week course, students will participate in an interactive and fun ELA experience. Each class will consist of three stages: presentation, practice, and free production. We will review the skills through fun games.

We will do a needs analysis on the first day, and I might tweak the curriculum based on the results. However, we will work on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. An important aspect of this class is vocabulary development, through practicing spelling and pronunciation. We will also cover a grammar topic each week, starting with parts of speech and ending with punctuation.
Learning Goals
1. Learners will be able to distinguish between parts of speech.
2. Learners will distinguish between fiction and nonfiction texts.
3. Learners will write a story.

I have been teaching English to native and nonnative speakers for over 20 years in the US and abroad. My approach is called "Focus-on-Form", which means my classes are very communicative and interactive in nature, but we still focus on grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary. The most important aspect of my class for me is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for the students and develop affection towards learning English in my students.
