In this weekly course, I offer students small group lessons for the beginning percussionist.
Class Experience
This class is based on building a foundation of music reading, performance, technique, and aural skills as it applies to the drums. Each lesson starts with a warm up including various exercises taught and provided to the students. After the warm up, the lesson material will be presented to the students in the form of handouts, call and response activities, or from a lesson book. - Students will demonstrate understanding in basic technique, music reading skills, musical vocabulary, aural skills, and various levels of facility on a snare drum and/or drum set.
