AP Chemistry Exam Preparation. This is a fast-paced course which covers all of AP Chemistry 1 and most of AP Chemistry 2 in order to prepare students to write the AP Chemistry Exam.

At our first lesson, I will meet all of you and get to know each of you and your background in chemistry and your educational goals. I will also introduce myself and my background.

At the second lesson, I will administer diagnostic testing to determine your prior knowledge of chemistry. You do not need to study for this exam. It is meant to inform me and will guide me in creating lessons which are suitable for you.

At the third lesson, we will start the AP chemistry curriculum. This is a rigorous and fast-paced course. I will provide live lessons every week, homework and additional videos for you to watch. My live classes are interactive and I will call on you to answer questions during class. You are expected to work hard and do your best at all times.

UPDATE: In addition to all of my private and group classes on Outschool, I am currently teaching several groups of students in Gaza. This is a collaboration between Outschool and two non-profit organizations: Horizon's Academy and the Gazan Student Support Network. As my Gazan students face unimaginable difficulties on a daily basis, I am filled with pride in them for their continued commitment to their studies, their hard work and their kind and humorous words. Teaching these students in Gaza has been an honour and a privilege and I look forward to continuing to teach these students AP Calculus and AP Chemistry until the end of this school year.

I studied Biochemistry at Queen's University and I have nineteen years of teaching experience. In that time, I have helped hundreds of students succeed!

I am the owner of a small tutoring business which I have operated for over fifteen years.

I specialize in teaching algebra, pre-algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, foundations of math, advanced functions, calculus, chemistry, physics, math and science at the middle school, secondary and post-secondary level. Including AP, IB and college-level courses.

My teaching style is methodical and I focus on improving the students' grades. In fact, several of my most highly motivated students have recently been accepted to medical school in the UK, directly from grade 12!

I have worked with students from many different private and public secondary and post-secondary institutions across Canada including Shawnigan Lake School, Brentwood College School, Queen's University, UBC and many others.

I have years of experience teaching students with learning disabilities including: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, concussions and others.

I have worked with students from all over the world and I am sensitive to cultural differences and adjust my teaching style to suit my students.

In addition to my professional experience, I also homeschooled my little niece during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been teaching her almost daily since she was four and now she is ten and she is reading, writing and doing math in two languages!

On Outschool, I offer classes in:
algebra, geometry, trigonometry
pre-algebra
advanced functions
pre-calculus
foundations of math
chemistry 11, 12, AP, IB (SL)
physics 11, 12, AP, IB (SL)
calculus 12, AP, IB (SL)
math 7, 8, 9, 10
science 9, 10
general math and science
dual-enrollment and college/university level tutoring is also available

I love teaching and I love helping my students succeed. There is nothing more rewarding than helping my students improve and achieve their goals!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, dancing (Salsa and Bachata) and spending time with my family!

I look forward to hearing from your family and teaching your child how to work hard and do their best in math and science!
