US Grade 1 - 4
In this class, students read about amphibians and reptiles while learning language arts skills. This is a guided reading class where students will learn about reptiles and amphibians while practicing language arts skills, such as compound words, using bullet points, words with the th digraph, and comparing and contrasting. Students are provided with the ebook to print out at home and additional worksheets for independent practice after class. This class is Dyslexia and ELL friendly and I will have optional handouts for students that need extra support.
Learning Goals
During the guided reading, students will
*learn the story vocabulary
*use a Venn Diagram to compare/contrast
*identify compound words
*practice reading words with the th diagraph.

Pre-Requisites
Not required, but the text is RAZ level K, Fountas & Pinnell J, Reading Recovery 17, and DRA 18

Please download and print the e-reader before class. I will email this when you register for the class.
