Description

Class Experience

In this one-time course, we will be exploring the wonderful world of Charlotte Diamond by reading (and singing) her book, Slippery Fish in Hawaii.  After an initial reading, we will use Boom Cards to move through a virtual activity to aid in comprehension.  Finally, we will be doing a directed drawing of our own Slippery Fish to accompany our story. A tablet with either Boom Cards opened in a browser, or the Boom Card app downloaded (recommended).  A separate screen can also be used to open Boom Cards, however this can be more challenging for kids to navigate.

Crayons, Markers, or Pencil Crayons (optional)

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Boom cards is a third-party application which will be used to aid in learning.  Students will be using a 'Fast Play' option which does not require a log in.
