Description
Class Experience
Learn the history of slavery in the United States. We will discuss how the people of Africa and other continents and countries were captured and dragged on board ships bound for the Colonies of the New Land somewhere on the other side of the world. We will learn what their lives were like and the jobs they did. How was life different for men, women, and children? Where did the slaves live, what did they eat, what did they wear, and how did they get through each day living in such horrific...
My area of expertise is Early American History from the 14th Century to the early 20th century.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
This class is age appropriate. However, we will discuss the true plight of those taken into slavery and what their lives were actually like. Parents are welcome to sit in during class but asked to only observe. Questions and comments addressed to the teacher in chat are welcome.
