Neuro-Affirming and Empowering Learning "Sketchnoting, Organization, & Executive Function for the ADHD Brain" is a self-paced course designed to empower teens by helping them understand their unique neurological makeup. Unlike traditional approaches that rely heavily on generic "tips and tricks," this course provides a neuro-affirming experience, focusing on self-awareness and celebration Teens will delve into the fascinating workings of their ADHD brains, learning how their unique perspectives can be harnessed as strengths. By fostering a deep understanding of their own minds, the course aims to reduce overwhelm and build long-term strategies that are both practical and sustainable. Engaging Content with Fun Brain Breaks Understanding the need for high dopamine levels to process information effectively, this course incorporates fun brain breaks throughout. These breaks are essential for maintaining engagement and preventing burnout. The coursework includes plenty of doodling and creative exploration, making learning a dynamic and enjoyable experience. By integrating these elements, the course ensures that students remain motivated and can better retain and apply what they learn, all while enjoying the process. Structured Weekly Lessons for Lasting Impact Each week of the course is structured around multiple lessons that guide teens through a well-curated process of discovery. These lessons are designed to make the information meaningful and adaptable to their current situations and future endeavors. Through a combination of sketchnoting, organizational techniques, and executive function strategies, students will develop skills that they can customize to fit their personal needs. This methodical approach ensures that the knowledge gained is not only retained but also becomes a valuable tool for their academic and personal growth.
