Students will increase their understanding of the author, the author's time period, the themes of the novel, and how the novel is referenced today
This intro course will cover some controversial topics such as the rise of communism (which was one of the reasons Bradbury wrote the book); burning and banning of books; World War I; fear of technology. The instructor has 15 years experience guiding young learners through topics such as these and has 10+ years experience with this specific book.
