Class Experience

US Grade 10 - 12
This is the sketchnoting class for older learners (there's a different section for younger learners). 
What:  How to map out ideas using a visual format aka SKETCHNOTING  
-What topics: Using the publicly available podcast: "Malcolm Gladwell on Running, Writing, and Storytelling"  (found free here: https://dailystoic.com/malcolm-gladwell/ ). This podcast will be played through the computer by the teacher and the class will listen and draw it together.. This podcast addresses ELA standards. Teacher will model how to draw, organize, and use sketchnoting technique which has been shown to be very beneficial for ADD/ ADHD/ and other neuro-divergent rockstars 
-Need: Paper/ pencil OR digital drawing app.  
-Class structure with a brief warmup activity, sketchnote-modelling, students will then "do" their own sketch notes 
-Brief discussion following sketchnoting activity  
-No drawing experience necessary!
