Class Experience
Birds have been used in art for a long time to deliver a passage from a work of art, especially portraiture. This class is intentionally designed to help students study a bird by sketching with pencils. Students will not only learn how to construct an animal but also experiment on techniques of shading in order to turn the sketch into a realistic drawing. All students are welcome to join this class either to initially practice sketching or highly develop their ability of shading. Students...
- Pencil (2B or darker such as 3B, 4B,...) - Eraser (cut by half diagonally) - Q tips (or stumps) - Cotton balls - Soft hair brushes (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
