Students will learn how to sketch and shade a geometrical shape. A step-by-step instruction will be given to students so they can sketch a square with straight lines. After that, students will add value to the shape to represent the depth of the object, bringing to a illusion of reality. Fundamental shading patterns such as hatching, toning, smudging and scumbling will be demonstrated to help students understand more about values. - Pencil (2B or darker such as 3B, 4B,...) - Eraser (cut by half diagonally) - Q tips (or stumps) - Cotton balls - Soft hair brushes (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
