Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this ongoing art class students will learn some fun techniques to draw some beautiful abstract line drawings and more. Students will be guided through the projects at a relaxed pace allowing for instruction, conversation and making friends with others who have similar interests. We will be using micro tip pens, fine tip sharpie markers, pencils, and erasers. Blending stumps (or even cotton swabs) will be used at times as well. Students will learn some simple blending and shading techniques and practice some simple but fun art. Each week we will work on a different art project. Projects may be learner directed and change from week to week. Week of Dec. 12th ~ Curved lines Week of Dec. 19th ~ Flowers Week of Dec. 26th ~ Trees Week of Jan. 2nd ~ Feather
Learning Goals
Students will learn some fun new techniques for line art drawing, shading, blending etc. as they get creative with their classmates.

Supply List
Students should come to class with paper (multiple sheets), pencils, erasers, fine tip markers and/or micro tip pens. Blending stumps (or swabs), kneaded eraser, and a rub sponge are very much a plus but not required.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
