The goal of this class is to improve our art while enjoying the company of others. Building a sketch book habit is a wonderful life-long activity that will bring joy and good memories whether you become an artist or not. Learners may join a class at any time: the content is not progressive. Each week there will be a prompt: a short sentence suggesting a theme or process for creating the art in your sketch book. This class is taught in English.
Learners will practice all the elements of art: line, shape, texture, form, space, color and value. Learners will experiment with many mediums: markers, pen, pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, and acrylics Learners will have the opportunity to socialize and interact with peers concerning the common enjoyment of art, with guidance from an adult who is trained in art.
Sketch book and preferred art materials. Suggested materials for the particular week will be messaged to learners as soon as they sign up for that week's class, but are not required to participate in the hang-out.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
