This lesson will teach learners how to draw a range of different animals. To accomplish this, students will learn about:

⭕ Shape Construction: Students will learn to break down complex animal forms into simple shapes, improving their ability to accurately depict various animals.

✏️ Shading Techniques: Learners will explore different shading methods to add depth and texture to their drawings, adding to the realism of their artwork.

🔍 Observation Skills: Students will develop keen observation skills by using reference photos and realistic animal figures (provided) helping them capture the unique characteristics of each animal.

🎨 Creative Expression: The class will encourage creative expression, allowing children to experiment with different styles and techniques to make their animal drawings unique.

This class follows a tutorial format 🎥 where I will demonstrate each step clearly on video.
As this is a one-time self-paced class, learners have the option to pause ⏸️ the video at any point. Along with this pre-recorded video footage, learners will also find close-up shots showcasing finer details (e.g. how to draw hands). Throughout the video, learners can expect to find additional graphics to support them in their understanding of specific concepts and techniques.💡

You can find additional resources, from reference photos to links to YouTube clips and additional art activities, on the classroom page. 🎨

📩 Progress photos and completed artwork can be submitted through the Outschool messaging system and I am more than happy to provide feedback and/or constructive criticism!
