Projects
1 hour per week. Students can work at their own pace and engage with me upon request. I will send out an introduction email and hope to keep in touch with each student to hear about their projects and to answer any questions one might have. I love that there is an option for students to access the videos on their own time and would be happy to give one on one feedback via message/email for each student as needed. It usually will take me 24 hours max to respond and I love seeing the art and lessons practiced and mastered by all artists.
Certificate of Completion
At completion, each student artist will receive a Certificate of Creative Achievement for their tenacity to expression and the discipline to finish a course for personal enlightenment.

Welcome to the All Ages Sketch Club!

What Will Be Taught?

Our Sketch Club is designed to ignite creativity across all age groups through the art of sketching. Participants will learn:

From basic shapes to complex forms, understanding light, shadow, and perspective.
Different Styles and Techniques: Explore various art styles from kawaii to classical studies reminiscent of Degas, and abstract geometric designs inspired by Kandinsky and Mondrian.
We will experiment with pencils, ink, and colored pencils on different textures, focusing on notebook paper for a nostalgic, accessible feel.

Class Structure: Warm-Up Sketches: Quick exercises to loosen up and inspire.
Main Lesson: Focused teaching on the day's topic with demonstrations.
Art History: There will be a short art history lesson.

Visual Aids: Use of slides to showcase famous artworks, techniques, and artist inspirations.

Hands-On Learning: Emphasis on doing rather than just watching. Every session includes practical sketching techniques and application.

Teaching Style: My approach blends encouragement with education. I aim to foster a supportive environment where creativity flourishes through:

Personalized Feedback: Tailored advice to help each student improve and find their unique voice in art.

Inclusivity: Making sure everyone, regardless of age or skill level, feels valued and capable.
Inspiration through

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, welcome to the art studio. My name is Anna and I have been an artist and educator for more than two decades. I’ve worked in Montessori, public schools and as an art therapist at a nursing home, to name a few positions I’ve held. I teach all ages and hold space in a creative heart and an atmosphere catering to learner led and inspiring studio work.

I teach writing, drawing, painting, sewing, printmaking and photography. My classes are for children who want to dive deeply into their creative work.

I try to emulate as much of a real studio classroom experience. We practice making abstract ideas become visual expression. I love to make the artistic journey full of joy and the problems to solve as puzzles to solve.

I have two little girls who are 5 & 7. We like puppies, UNO and cooking! I make art and the girls and I love to watch cartoons. !
