Sizzling Sentence Openers - Writing and Grammar Class

Sentences are the building blocks for all other writing.  One of the best ways to make sentences interesting is to start them in various ways.  In this class, we will discuss and learn different sentence starters or openers guaranteed to add "punch" to your writing.  A print out will be sent out after the class to help the learner remember what was taught.  The student will get to practice some of these sentence openers or starters in class to boost their confidence.  The only prior knowledge your student needs is the knowledge of how to write a sentence. Certain parts of speech will be taught so the learner may use them to start sentences.  Also, we will also cover what elements make a sentence a sentence and not a fragment.  This class is most beneficial if your learner is willing to try using the sentence openers we learn.  Class rules:  We respect everyone.  We mute, so we do not talk over people, and we raise our hand if we have questions or comments.  : )  As per the Outschool rules, the camera must be turned on at the beginning of class so I may verify the learner.
