US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Do you love Halloween? Then join me to learn some spooky and amazing facts about cats, bats, rats, owls, wolves, and spiders. I allow questions and we will even watch fun short video clips about them too! In this onetime educational and fun class, kids will learn about six amazing creatures associated with Halloween. Why are black cats considered unlucky? Is there a bat that drinks blood? Find out these answers and many more in this fun and engaging class. Since the class, is focused on letting kids explore their curiosity and love of animals, students will be encouraged to share their knowledge and to ask lots of questions to discover new revelations about these amazing creatures. I believe students learn best when having fun in a supportive environment that encourages them to express their thoughts and opinions. The class will be done as a multimedia presentation and will introduce students to these five astonishing creatures. At the end, we will talk about what the students have learned and which prehistorical animals they liked the most. Students are welcome to bring their favorite stuffed animals, photos, or animal toys to share with the class. Snacks are welcome too. Parental Guidance We will be talking about animals in this class. We will cover topics like what do they eat, how do they hunt and kill, and how large they get. This could include images or short clips of animals attacking other animals with the goal to kill them, while I will not display any gruesome images, the content could possibly be scary to some children.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from University of Wyoming
Hello everyone!
My name is Ashley. My classes are fun, informative, and engaging, and I genuinely love helping students learn while having fun. My primary goal is to help students use their creativity and curiosity to discover what they truly want to learn about.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Honors) from the University of Wyoming with a focus on international studies. I have worked with children for almost 5 years as an SPEA for Higher Needs students at a local school district. Currently, I am an online ESL teacher and writer. My teaching style is to provide students with the opportunity to exchange ideas with their peers and take an active role in their learning. I love to encourage students to explore different topics through a variety of methods in a warm and encouraging environment. I encourage questions and speaking during my classes as I believe it is critical for students to do so.
Though I have a wide range of topics I teach, my genuine passion is writing! Writing has always brought me joy because it allows me to use my creativity to share stories with others. I believe that writing should be enjoyable, encouraging, and overall a positive experience. Though I have done writing in many fields, my favorite is writing fiction stories in the fantasy and science fiction genres.
