Class Experience

Students will have four weeks to learn basic single stitch techniques culminating in students being able to create their own wash cloths. Students will start by learning how to do basic chain and single crochet stitches and then move on to working at a diagonal, learning to increase and decrease stitches as they work through their final project.
It is recommended that students who do not have crochet experience first take my beginning crochet techniques class, but it is not required. Students will need 1 ball or skein of worsted weight cotton yarn and a size G or H crochet hook is recommended, but any size hook between F and K will work . This is a basic skill level class, please see my other listings for learning other stitches and beyond the basics if you would like to learn more about crocheting, shaping and other fiber arts.
Students will engage in the class by watching teacher's recorded presentations of each step of the process and responding to teacher's questions within the class discussion, students will be reporting progress on their project and showing picture, video or written description of their progress each week as well as a picture of their completed project at the end of week 4. Students will show understanding of the concepts taught each week by responding to the teacher's questions within the chat. Teacher will provide relevant feedback each week on student progress and stitching, based on student work as well as being available to answer questions throughout the course of the class. Students can post questions in the classroom for teacher or student response. Students are encouraged to share ideas and help each other if they know the answer.
