Homework
1-2 hours per week. 1-2 hours of practice a week is recommended. The teacher will send singers audio recording suited for their needs as well as audio recording for their song choice.Assessment
Teacher will log the student's progress and will provide a written report at the end of each class. Every 5 classes, singers will be asked to perform a song as if they were on a stage. *This class is available in English and in French.* This class is a 12 week semester. It can always be renewed. In this one on one class, singers will work on their artistic potential throughout vocal exercises and songs. Singers will be working on a musical repertoire consisting of songs they picked, songs the teacher picked for them and, originals (if applicable). Topics covered are pitch, posture, breathing, belting, mixing, interpretation as well as healthy vocal habits. The class will start with a 15 minute warm up, followed by a short sight reading or musical theory activity. During the remaining 25 minutes, the teacher and singers will works on one song from the repertoire in order to perfect it. (More than one class may be needed to perfect a song) As a teacher, I will offer a personalized approach making sure every student's needs are met. This class is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced singers. This class is also a safe space for shy singers. Singers are welcome to sign up as many times as they want. The teacher will keep a log of the singer's progress.
Learning Goals
Singers will learn about the vocal anatomy and healthy singing habits. They will learn to control their pitch, develop a good sense of rhythm, find and work on their range and, learn new songs.

Supply List
The teacher will hand sheet music and audio recording for students to practice at home. Students who wish to use an audio track for their performances should prepare a separate device to play it on. For the first class, students should prepare 1 song.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello and welcome!
I am a professional singer and music teacher. I have a degree in the performing arts as a jazz singer. I am currently completing my BA in musical education at the University of Québec in Montréal. (UQAM)
I have been teaching for 10 years. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages. I have worked with toddlers and preschoolers , giving musical initiation classes, I have also been giving private singing lessons to teens and adults.
As a professional singer, I was a backup singer for a couple of episodes of the French Canadian TV show “En Direct de l’Univers”. I was also a candidate on “The Voice” Canada in 2019 while I was pregnant with my son Thomas. This experience allowed me to push myself as an artist, and as a human being. I have prepared for dozens of auditions and have learned a lot from each once of them. I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you!
Besides singing, I have many interests. I love animals and have two cats and a dog (they may make appearances in my class). I speak French and I’m learning Italian. I took violin lessons for 7 years and I play the piano, the guitar, and percussions. I also enjoy cooking, and spending time in the outdoors.
