Description
Class Experience
I have worked with this professional vocal technique since 1998. I have taught young singers in the NYC metropolitan area since 2012 and have seen their voices develop with freedom throughout the range of the voice. I have observed hours and hours of voice lessons of children Broadway singers in NYC using this technique. I love helping young singers discover and understand their unique voice and sing with confidence and freedom.
Musical recordings and song lyrics will be posted in the classroom for singers to listen to and practice. Links to song tracks on youtube be posted in the classroom for students to review and practice. Optional purchase of sheet music is available at musicnotes.com. Students can also print lyrics from the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
For absolute beginners, it is recommended to take Intro. to Singing Technique for the Contemporary Singer first so that the singer has some familiarity with the musical patterns used in the vocal technique exercises.
