In this class we will cover correct posture, breath support, warm up, vocal technique, and exercises to develop the beginning singer. This class will focus solely on technique - other classes will allow learners to perform a song. As class progresses and exercises are performed, we may begin learning group songs to discuss the importance of vowel placement, text breathing, phrase emphasis, and the skills required to ask and communicate a song. This is class is for beginners, a more advanced class is available - Singer's Summit.

Hello and Welcome! My name is Kristen I am a performer, voice over actor, teacher, and videographer. I have the honor of being awarded the Music & Arts: Teacher Of The Year Award.
As a performer, I have traveled the world performing as a lead singer onboard Carnival Cruise Lines. I have worked on seven ships in their fleet and performed several genres of music on stage. I have also worked as an actor in New York City. I have auditioned and traveled around the United States for jobs performing in musicals. My favorite shows are Disney's Mary Poppins (Mary), South Pacific (Nellie), and She Loves Me (Amalia).
As a teacher, I am currently a music teacher at an academy. I have taught and hosted live and virtual classes in music, theatre, auditioning, and public speaking. My goal is to prepare students for their auditions and performances so they are not as nervous and feel confident in themselves.
As a videographer, I run a YouTube channel documenting my travels as a teacher and performer. Working online has taught me about video-story-telling, graphics, editing, and proper lighting.
